Reservations and Deposits
It couldn't be easier to sign up for a trip with Aventouras. Once you choose your trip and dates, you can confirm your reservation with a deposit of $500 per person, per trip. Deposits may be paid by check, money order, or credit card in U.S. funds.
To ensure trip availability, we strongly suggest that you make reservations at least 120 days prior to departure. Please note that reservations made within 90 days of trip departure require a full credit card payment at the time of booking.
Balance Due
Trip payment is due in full 90 days prior to your trip departure and may be paid by check, money order, or credit card. Please make all checks payable in U.S. funds. If payments are not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
Price Guarantee
To protect your investment, Aventouras guarantees its trip prices through the calendar year. We accept the risks of currency fluctuations with regard to the price of your trip. We also accept full responsibility for pricing changes related to items that are included in our trip packages.
Also, in the event that you find any aspect of our trips to be unsatisfactory, we pledge to address your concerns and work with you to remedy the situation and reach an acceptable solution.
Pre-Departure Information
After receiving your trip reservation and deposit, we will send you a pre-departure package with your reservation payment receipt and confirmation. This will include detailed information about the area, a daily trip itinerary, a packing list, suggestions for preparing for your trip, a guest questionnaire, information on pre/post trip arrangements, and a liability release agreement. Please return the guest questionnaire and liability release agreement immediately.
Lodging Arrangements and Single Supplements
All of our trip prices are based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for an additional charge as a single supplement.
If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we can usually find you a roommate. If you sign up 90 days or more prior to your departure, and we do not find you a roommate, 50% of the single supplement charge will be waived and you'll have a single room at half of the total cost. If you sign up within 90 days or less of trip departure, and we can't match you with another guest, you will be charged the full single supplement fee.
Travel Insurance
Aventouras offers its guests a travel protection plan that covers trip cancellation for medical reasons, travel delays, medical expenses, accidental death, lost baggage and medical evacuation. Please call and speak with one of our expert trip consultants if you have specific coverage questions.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you must cancel your trip, you’re required to notify us in writing. We will calculate your refund on the day we receive your written cancellation. For all cancellations, we will refund you the cost of your trip less the following per person charges:
- 91 or more days before trip departure: The deposit less $150 is refundable.
- 61-90 days before trip departure: Full trip payment less the $500 deposit is refunded.
- 31-60 days before trip departure: 50% of the trip payment is refunded.
- 0-30 days before trip departure: No refund is given.
Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies.
Trip Cancellations
On rare occasions, Aventouras may have to cancel one of its trips. If we are unable to provide you with another trip that is satisfactory, you will receive a full refund. Please note that we are not responsible for additional expenses such as nonrefundable advance purchase airline tickets.
Refunds and Trip Changes
No partial refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, activities, events, tours, or trip arrangements for any reason. Land Cost is quoted as a package and credits are not given for services not used.
We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of or retain any participant for any reason at any time. We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by such participants.
Trip itineraries are subject to change without notice due to road, weather, and other conditions, as deemed necessary by Aventouras.
Children Traveling without Guardians
On all trips, an adult must accompany any child who is 13 years old or younger. A letter of release provided by Aventouras and signed by the child’s parent or legal guardian is also required for all children aged 13 or younger not traveling with their parent or legal guardian.

If you have any special requests or dietary needs, we are happy to accommodate them. Please be sure to notify our expert trip consultants upon booking.
Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for choosing a trip that suits their abilities, level of fitness and health. All guests must provide Aventouras with signed release and medical information forms prior to trip departure. Guests traveling with Aventouras are expected to follow responsible travel guidelines and regulations in accordance with guide direction.
