Lodging highlights
Western Belize has several lodges that are perfect escapes for nature lovers and adventurers. Black Rock Lodge, Chaa Creek, Hidden Valley Inn, and DuPlooy’s Lodge are all off-the-beaten-path in the forest outside of San Ignacio, have hiking, swimming, horseback riding, and canoeing on-site or very nearby, and all are well situated for anyone looking to visit Mayan ruins or venture deeper into the jungle. All of these lodges are working with the non-profit conservation organization Programme for Belize, and all are involved in conservation and community work. Each is a bit different, and we’d love to match your interests with the perfect lodge for your visit
